growing up, my parents bred and raised Westies in our home. It was then that I developed my love for dogs. Throughout life, my dogs have helped me through some of the most difficult times in life but were there to celebrate & enjoy the happy times as well! 

  After we were married, my husband and I had a Golden Retriever, Riley. He blessed us with 13 wonderful golden years. After Riley left us, it was hard to imagine ever going through the loss of another fur baby. I loved the loyal and incredible temperaments of the Golden Retriever and hoped to find a breed that had the temperament of a Golden Retriever but was small enough for me to pick up & bathe without all the shedding. I came across the Goldendoodle and spent several years researching Goldendoodle breeders. It was important to us to find a breeder who raised litters in their home with love, appropriate socialization, and prioritized health testing. 

  Eventually, we found an amazing breeder of multigenerational Goldendoodles who come from a long line of health tested Goldendoodles with outstanding temperaments, and we got our 1st Goldendoodle, Max. Our family immediately fell in love with the Goldendoodle breed! 

   Hope, our female, is Max’s littermate’s puppy! Hope comes from stunning red lines & has a thick, velvety soft coat. Hope has the happy-go-lucky personality so many people look for in a Goldendoodle, & she loves her humans. Some people call Goldendoodles “velcro dogs” because they like to be near their humans & Hope fits this description. She has a playful, yet loving temperament. Hope has changed our hearts, & we look forward to her puppies changing & healing hearts!

Pleasant Lake Doodles is a small breeder of family raised multigenerational Goldendoodles and is the first GANA (Goldendoodle Association of North America) breeder in Minnesota!

  We are located in central Minnesota & are about 1 hour NW of Minneapolis. Our puppies are raised in our home & are born to health tested parents at the GANA blue ribbon level. Our breeding dogs come from a long line of health tested Goldendoodles with incredible, and loving temperaments. 

  We are committed to producing healthy, well tempered, well socialized, and loved Goldendoodles until they become members of your family for years to enjoy!

  My husband and I have 4 incredible boys, and our entire family is involved in the raising and socialization of all our puppies. I have worked as a registered nurse in the areas of Pediatrics, PICU, Neonatal ICU, Labor & Delivery, and in public school nursing. I know, and believe in how important genetic testing is for potential breeding dogs. I am also intrigued by ENS (early neurological stimulation) in helping develop a young puppy’s brain and helping to improve their stress responses throughout life. 

At Pleasant Lake Doodles, we breed multigenerational Goldendoodles, which are generations of breeding Goldendoodles back to Goldendoodles.

A multigen Goldendoodle shows more consistency in size, is easy going and will have a lovable temperament, with a low shedding coat.
